The following individual has excelled with the company throughout the years:

Shanna

Shanna started her career with GIANT as a Cashier over nine years ago. She made her way throughout store operations, advancing to Checkout Coach, Service Center Associate, Lead Receiver, and Lead Frozen Associate. It was then that Shanna's career went in a different direction. "I heard of a Lead Auditor position that was available and decided it was time to broaden my knowledge outside of the stores." Now, Shanna is a Supervisor of Distribution Center Operations.

Shanna's favorite thing about working at GIANT is the different opportunities the company has to offer. She enjoys being able to meet new people, the opportunity for advancement, the friendly environment, being part of a team, and GIANT community involvement. "It's good to be part of the better cause," she says.

Part of Shanna's involvement in the community includes balancing her professional career with GIANT and her military career as a member of the Air National Guard. The military taught her different leadership tools which have benefited her at GIANT and vice versa. "I've gotten the opportunity to serve with many great leaders who have helped influence the leader I have become," Shanna says.

Shanna plans to go back to school and pursue a degree in business management, and she attributes her success to the people who have taught and mentored her throughout her career. "GIANT has provided me with useful training and the tools I need for success. If it weren't for the people I've gotten to work with throughout the years, I wouldn't be where I am today. People help build your success!"
