Lancaster, PA - Giant Food Stores will open the doors to its newest Lancaster location tomorrow, Wednesday, May 7 at 8:00 a.m. Giant's newest store is located at 2074 Fruitville Pike, Manheim Township, in the former Redner's Market location.
"This store has been given a fresh face and is bursting with savings, an expanded selection of products in virtually every department, and new in-store features that will enhance their shopping experience," said Tom Cacciola, store manager. "We appreciate that our customers have been patient while we updated the interior of the store to more closely resemble a modern Giant Food Store."
Giant customers will find plenty of exciting features in the new store that are geared toward providing a more efficient, consumer-friendly shopping experience - all at affordable Giant prices. In addition, key departments such as bakery, deli, meat and seafood are set off with their own look and feel, giving unique identities to the various sections of the store.
Open twenty-four hours daily, the 49,000 square foot Fruitville Pike Giant employs approximately 150 full and part time associates. Focus on Convenience The Fruitville Pike Giant features a 'drugstore within a store' concept offering tips for healthy living, including information about drugs, disease and diet, as well as beauty products, Hallmark cards and a complete section dedicated to Staples brand office supplies. Customers can pick up their favorite movie at the RedBox located in the front of the store.
For customers on the go, EasyScan allows them to utilize 6 self-scanning units to expedite the checkout process. Focus on Natural and Organic The store will also offer an expanded variety of products in the natural and organic categories through a dedicated section, Nature's Promise Marketplace, a full aisle of more than 1,500 frozen, dairy, grocery and special diet selections. Giant features a designated gluten-free product area located within Nature's Promise Marketplace, with a selection of foods available for customers on gluten-free diets due to celiac disease or other health concerns.
In addition, customers can also pick up one of Giant's Healthy Ideas brochures, which focus on a variety of common health topics such as diabetes, food allergies, ear infections and osteoporosis. These brochures feature health tips as well as nutritional information and recipes.
