We know that you expect safe and responsibly produced items in our stores. Sustainable Trade encompasses food safety and promotes fair pricing, safe and healthy working conditions for producers, and environmental protection.

Food safety is an issue near and dear to all of our hearts. There is nothing more socially responsible than a food retailer ensuring that the products carried in our stores meet the highest standards for quality, wholesomeness and safety. We are constantly looking for ways to ensure the safety of our offerings and proactively communicating with you about product safety concerns.

Another way that GIANT takes a leadership role under the Sustainable Trade pillar is our commitment to buying local. While we purchase products from large industry leaders, we also have a long heritage of supporting local farmers and manufacturers in the states where we operate stores.
