What Can You Do?

GIANT’s partnership with the New England Aquarium is the first step to bringing environmentally responsible seafood to your dinner table. The next step is up to you. There are a few simple ways you can help our oceans through the seafood choices you make.

1. Stay Informed
   Stay informed by visiting our website, and by learning about ocean-friendly seafood options through the New England Aquarium’s website at www.neaq.org/fisheries.
   
   
2. Ask Questions
   Asking questions lets retailers and restaurateurs know that customers want information so they can be confident in their seafood choices. All of our fresh raw seafood is required to have country of origin labeling, which lets you know where it is from and if it was farm raised or wild caught. We post this information in our Seafood Department.
   
   
3. Try Something New
   Give ocean-friendly seafood options a try, and you may find a new option that you really enjoy. Our Seafood Associates are happy to answer any questions that you may have.
   
   
4. If You Don’t See Something, Ask for it!
   If there is a specific ocean friendly seafood item that you would like, please ask our friendly and knowledgeable staff and they will do their best to get it for you. Your request is the first step in bringing the items you want to our seafood case on a regular basis.
